What a Wonderful World
The universe is a glorious manifestation of love and order.
Our story began 13.8 billion years ago, when everything we see was together. All matter was held in a space smaller than an atom. From that seed, the universe exploded, and through the unfolding of four fundamental forces, atoms formed and gathered into stars. These furnaces of creation formed all the atoms that we see and embody today. Everything we know — every breath, every tree, every cell in our bodies — all were born from the star.
In the beginning, Earth was a wild and fiery womb — skies thick with storms, oceans newborn and restless. From the dance of lightning and the breath of volcanic fire, simple elements met and mingled. In these ancient waters, the cosmos stirred — forging sacred molecules from light and chaos. Over eons, these molecules gathered into a living divine ferment, a fertile sea of possibility where matter began to dream, and the first whispers of life prepared to rise from the silence. Life was born.
We are the remarkable fruit of a mystical and intelligent force, with the wisdom of creation present in every cell of our bodies. We did not create ourselves, our children, or the beauty that surrounds us. Yet we are invited to participate in this great unfolding — to bring forward our unique essence and expression, a beautiful and exceedingly complex flower blooming on the great mother tree of life that we are the children of.
Finding our true nature and returning to communion with the great unfolding of life is what we are all doing, whether we accept that or not — awakening to the only reality that truly exists. As we explore our relationship with the vast intelligence that would create this beauty, there are moments we may feel lost or out of place. That is our part of life that we are challenged to embody, to become lost in the complexity of consciousness, and find the connective love that has been present at every moment of our life. Finding the love held inside our personal life, love appearing where it seemed not to be.
We are processing and integrating some of the most subtle and powerful energies found in nature through the experience available to us as humans. The feeling of being loved, the tenderness of holding a child, the ache of loss, the quiet joy of being — all of these are part of the human experience, and each is a portal that leads us to our true home that is found within our heart.
The human heart is a symphony of feeling that composes the music that interacts with the moment of creation we are experiencing. It invites us into a dance, our own unique expression, that is our offering of love on the altar of creation.
We are finding peace within the story of who we are, to be able to hear what our heart is singing, and to learn how to move gracefully within it. When we come into acceptance — of both the light and the shadow, the sorrow and the bliss — and welcome all of it as part of the sacred design, we become open. We open to all that this moment of our experience wants to show us, learning to open our eyes, heart and mind fully so the fires of creation can sweep through us and carry us into a glorious and unknown future. With open arms and open hearts, we honor and bless the creation of our own being with the fullness of our presence. And in that presence, we discover the quiet truth, over and over again: that this is, indeed, a wonderful world.
